Authority Score
You can't improve what you can't see.
Most businesses don't know their AI visibility is eroding until leads stop coming in. Authority Score gives you the exact picture — which engines are recommending you, which aren't, and what gaps to close first to start earning AI recommendations.
Six dimensions.
One clear picture.
Authority Score doesn't measure website traffic or keyword rankings. It measures the signals AI engines actually use to decide whether to recommend your business.
Scoring in four steps.
Every engagement begins with an Authority Score baseline. As PearlOS builds infrastructure, the score is retaken at each phase — so you can see the direct relationship between what was built and what moved.
We run your business through six AI engines with the queries your buyers are actually asking — capturing exactly how (or whether) you appear.
Your score is calculated across five dimensions: entity clarity, topical depth, citation frequency, cross-engine consistency, and reputation signals.
Every gap is mapped to a specific layer of authority infrastructure — so you know exactly what to build, not just what's missing.
PearlOS re-runs your Authority Score at regular intervals throughout your engagement — so you can see compounding gains in real time.
Authority Score guides the entire system.
PearlOS uses your Authority Score data to prioritize which modules get attention first, which gaps get filled when, and how resources are allocated across the 90-day P.E.A.R.L. sequence. The score isn't just a report — it's the instruction set.
What operators ask
about Authority Score.
What is Authority Score?
Authority Score is HeyPearl's proprietary 0–100 composite metric that quantifies how well-positioned a business is to receive AI recommendations — combining entity clarity, content depth, citation signals, and competitive share of voice into a single trackable number.
How is Authority Score calculated?
It weighs several inputs together: how completely and accurately your entity is verified across AI engines, the depth and citation-worthiness of your authority content, the volume and specificity of third-party reputation signals, and how you compare to competitors in your category for the same buyer queries.
What is a good Authority Score?
Most businesses enter with a score in the 18–35 range before any AI authority work has been done. There's no universal "good" threshold — the useful comparison is your score relative to the specific competitors you're being evaluated against by AI engines in your category and market.
How often does my Authority Score update?
Authority Score is measured at engagement start to establish a baseline, then re-measured on a regular cycle — typically at 30, 60, and 90 days — against that same baseline, so progress is always shown against where you actually started, not a generic industry average.
How is Authority Score different from a domain authority or SEO score?
Domain authority and similar SEO metrics estimate a page's likely search-ranking strength based on backlinks and technical factors. Authority Score is built specifically to estimate AI recommendation likelihood — a different mechanism, based on entity verification and citation-worthiness rather than link equity.
